The Real Advanced Course

What’s in the course?

The Open Water Diver program taught you the essential skills to plan and conduct dives safely. Now it’s time to make the next move. The SSI Advanced Diver program  is a whole lot different to all others   because the SSI system gives you credit for been an advanced diver when you truly are.  Rather than do just 5 dives as most so called Advanced courses are, we offer you 9 dives (inc 1 snorkel dive) and 4 specialty certifications. You then accumulate dives until you have 24 logged and we issue you a SSI Advanced Diver certification. If you already have 24 logged dives or achieve this during the course you will be certified at the completion of the course. This certification is industry recognized as the premier Advanced Diver certification as it recognizes your real diving experience and your training.

How is the course run?

You will start your course on Saturday morning where your instructor will mark your specialty course study guides before heading off to a dive site to start the adventure.  If you need to purchase any equipment your instructor will be happy to explain in detail which item is ideally suited to you. Over the course of the weekend you will conduct four dives including 2 boat dives at Rottnest on Sunday,  followed by a night dive on Tuesday night. The following Saturday will be the completion of the specialties with another 3 local dives.

Equipment Required :

• SCUBA Unit– this can be hired for the duration of the course @ the single day rate.
• Compass, Whistle, Torch, Knife.
