Truk Lagoon 2002Luke Endacott has been fortunate enough to lead a group of 16 WA divers on a dive trip to Truk (Chuuk) Lagoon. Truk, has for sometime been considered the mecca of wreck diving. I cannot disagree with this statement.
The diving in Truk is so unique. There is a graveyard of japanese ships laying in the laggoon, sunk during Operation Hailstorm in WWII. Since their sinking, these ships have lain untouched in the calm protected waters of the lagoon and now are providing divers the ultimate diving experience. 
The wrecks in Truk all have an amazing story to tell and Captain Lenny, skipper of the Oddyssey knew them all. This will remain my favorite destination to revist. ADA may be returning to Truk in 2008. Numbers will be limited so register your interest now |
